Update: 18-Apr-2024 15:48 Updated April 18, 2024: We have updated the rollout timeline below. Thank you for your patience. You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates you are using Microsoft Teams Phone devices in your organization. We are pleased to announce a new Teams application with the following features, to be released as Update 1 for 2024. When this will happen: Standard Release: We will begin rolling out early May 2024 (previously early April) and expect to complete by late June 2024 (previously late May). 1. Users can send incoming calls to voicemail from the incoming call screen (configured with calling policy through PowerShell command AllowCallRedirect) and control how they want to handle a second incoming call through the Busy on Busy setting (configured with calling policy in Teams admin center). 2. Admins can enable call forwarding on the Home screen in the Teams admin center > Configuration profile setting. Users can then set up call forwarding directly from their phone device's Home screen. 3. Admins can force their users to set or change their phone lock PIN by turning on Enforce device lock in the Configuration profile setting in Teams admin center. Secondly, users select the hamburger menu (the three-line menu) to lock their phone device on the Home screen. 4. Survival Branch Office (SBA) will be supported on VOIP calls. 5. On non-touch phones, users will be able to turn on the Auto restart setting and park/unpark calls. 6. While calling a contact, a user can select the contact's number (such as mobile, work, and so on). Users can also call on behalf of a caller ID configured in call queue. What you need to do to prepare: We will keep you posted once the Teams application with above features is Generally Available. Please plan for application deployment accordingly. No further action is required from you currently. |
