Update: 22-Jun-2023 15:50 Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android users will soon be able to switch between cameras in a meeting if additional USB cameras are connected. The release of primary camera switcher will be rolling out with Microsoft Teams Rooms on Android Update. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 121376 When this will happen: Standard Release: We will begin rolling out to production in early July 2023. Note: There can be a delay between when features are released by Microsoft and when they become available on a device model and make. If an update isn't available on your device, check with your device manufacturer for information on availability timeline. How this will affect your organization: IT Admins can attach additional USB cameras to a Teams Room and can set the default primary camera in the Device settings > Room camera > Source. In-room users can switch between cameras in a meeting using the arrow beside the camera button, but the primary camera resets to the default option once the meeting ends. This feature is available in all Teams Rooms licenses. At launch, this feature can be found on Logi Rally Bar, Logi Rally Bar Mini, and Logi RoomMate. What you need to do to prepare: Please plan on updating all Teams Rooms on Android in your tenant to the latest version through the Teams Admin Center. Once devices are updated, you can control new features in the device settings. We recommend notifying your users about these new capabilities and updating your training and documentation as appropriate. |
